A well-established civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of complex groundworks, reinforced concrete, and structural projects across London and the South East. This role is suitable for candidates from Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor backgrounds, provided they have experience working under NEC contracts.

You'll be joining a busy commercial team working on technically challenging schemes, where a strong understanding of construction methodology, plant, and materials is essential. The role offers exposure across the full project lifecycle, from early-stage change identification through to final account.

• Supporting the commercial management of civils, groundworks, RC frame, and structural packages

• Assisting with pricing variations and compensation events from first principles

• Reviewing drawings and specifications to identify scope change and commercial risk

• Working with planners to understand programme impacts and entitlement (including NEC Clause 62)

• Preparing cost reports, forecasts, and valuations

• Managing subcontractor accounts and supporting procurement activities

• Liaising closely with site teams, clients, and supply chain partners

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a civils, groundworks, RC frame, or structures contractor

• Background from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contracting environment

• Working knowledge of NEC contracts (Option A and/or C advantageous)

• Strong technical understanding of construction processes and sequencing

• Comfortable working with detailed commercial and project data

• Commercially aware, detail-focused, and proactive in supporting project delivery
