Kenton Black are recruiting for a permanent Quantity Surveyor position in Aberdeenshire.
Our client, a well-established construction and civil engineering contractor operating across Aberdeen and the North East, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the continued growth of their commercial team. This permanent, full-time role offers a strong platform to build long-term career progression while working across a diverse portfolio of construction and civils projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the commercial management of construction and civil engineering projects from pre-contract through to final account - Assist with cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting across live projects - Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations, and final accounts - Prepare and support monthly CVRs and ensure accurate commercial reporting - Monitor cost control, identify risks and opportunities, and support mitigation strategies - Assist in reviewing contractual documentation and maintaining contract compliance - Liaise with project managers, site teams, clients, and supply chain partners to support successful project delivery - Contribute to the preparation and negotiation of claims and variations where required - Support continuous improvement of commercial processes and controls
