The Opportunity
Our client, a leading property developer in The Bahamas, is seeking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on high-profile projects including luxury hotels, residential apartments, marine developments, and leisure schemes in one of the Caribbean's most desirable locations.
The oppoirtunity would suit a QS with 5 - 10 year's experience. There is a lot that a QS from the UK would need to learn when taking up a role in The Bahamas (Imperial measurement, labour only contracting, estimating / BoQ to final account). Exposure to contracts is helpful, but its not necessary to have experience in AIA or FIDIC contracts.
The successful candidate will work directly with the developer on both contractor-managed and self-delivered projects, gaining exposure to the full development lifecycle from initial estimates through to project completion. Support will be provided.
