Quantity Surveyor Opportunity A specialist contractor operating within the faade and building envelope sector is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor as part of its continued growth. This role will support the commercial delivery of faade packages across a busy project portfolio, working closely with project and site teams to ensure strong financial control from pre-construction through to final account. The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role. Our client is a well-established faade contractor delivering design, supply and installation of external envelope solutions across the South of England and London. Their work includes technically complex faade packages on new build and refurbishment schemes, partnering with main contractors on residential, commercial and public-sector projects. Typical schemes range from mid-value packages through to large, multi-million-pound developments. Quantity Surveyor Role Responsibilities Commercial management of assigned faade and cladding packages
Preparation and submission of applications for payment
Monthly cost reporting, forecasting and valuation preparation
Administration of subcontractor accounts and payment processes
Identification, pricing and agreement of variations
Support with subcontract procurement and package comparisons
Measurement and valuation of works on site
Preparation and agreement of final accounts
Working under standard forms of contract including JCT and NEC
Project Exposure Rainscreen cladding, SFS and insulated faade systems
Curtain walling, external wall insulation and architectural panelling
New build and refurbishment projects, including live environments
Typical project values from circa £500k to £10m
Quantity Surveyor Criteria Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or specialist subcontracting
Faade, cladding or external envelope xehkeey experience advantageous but not essential
Good working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
Commercially aware, well organised and detail focused
Comfortable working between office, site and project teams
