Quantity Surveyor - Cayman Islands
Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic and fast-paced developer. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project costs, ensuring value for money, and supporting the successful delivery of large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking across multiple projects Manage procurement processes, including tender preparation, evaluation, and contract award Administer contracts in accordance with agreed terms and conditions Evaluate and process contractor valuations, variations, and final accounts Monitor project costs and identify risks, providing mitigation strategies where necessary Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and external stakeholders Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and industry standards Provide regular financial and progress reports to senior stakeholders Support dispute resolution and claims management where required
Key Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field Professional membership (e.g., RICS or equivalent) Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a QS role, ideally within infrastructure or civil engineering projects Strong knowledge of contract forms (e.g., FIDIC or similar) Proven experience in cost control, procurement, and contract administration Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Excel, cost management systems)
