Job Description
Quantity Surveyor | Interiors Fit-Out and Delivery (Commercial) | Shoreditch
Location: Shoreditch, London Salary: £50,000 to £70,000, depending on experience Working Type: Full time, office based
The Studio
We're working with a commercial fit-out and delivery consultancy in Shoreditch that creates beautifully crafted spaces across retail, hospitality, and interiors. They care about the details.
Every project is delivered with intention, and they need someone who can protect both the design vision and the bottom line.
The Role
This is for a Quantity Surveyor who understands commercial creative environments. Someone who can balance design intent with commercial precision and feels at home working alongside designers, project managers, and clients.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of cost management across the studio's projects. You will shape systems that make cost reporting clear, consistent, and reliable. You will be hands-on, from early feasibility through to final account reconciliation, making sure projects land on time, on budget, and to the standard they deserve.
What You Will Do
Lead cost planning and management across design-led interior and build projects
Prepare detailed estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
Create and manage pricing templates, tender documents, and contracts
Support feasibility studies and value analysis to inform early design decisions
Visit sites to monitor progress, costs, and quality
Identify value engineering opportunities that enhance rather than dilute the design
Develop consistent, transparent cost reporting across teams and clients
Run tender exercises and prepare clear, insightful summary reports
Reconcile final accounts and deliver accurate project costings
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and consultants to keep everything aligned
What You Will Bring
A proactive, detail-driven mindset with genuine appreciation for great design
Confident communication skills, able to translate numbers into narratives clients understand
Organised, hands-on, and solutions-focused, with a strong sense of ownership
Experience across contractor and client-side roles, ideally within retail, hospitality, or design-led interiors
Proven success delivering high-end fit-outs up to £5m
Sound understanding of construction safety standards and legislation
Advanced Excel skills and a talent for building clear financial systems
Full UK driving licence
