About the Company:
A new opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join an exciting, forward thinking and developing business who boast a diverse range of projects within new build, regeneration, and restoration!
Joining a reputable business who are rapidly expanding who have a large number of new sites due to start in the coming months. You will be part of the exciting journey working on prestigious projects in desirable areas, where every site is different!
About the role of Quantity Surveyor:
Working in a close-knit team, you will be a key member of the commercial team, you will play a crucial role in managing and controlling costs throughout the lifecycle of development projects. You will collaborate closely with departments such as Development, Construction, and Design to ensure commercial efficiency, cost certainty, and best value in all procurement and contractual arrangements.
Summary of Duties:
Monthly cost reporting (CVRs), oversee budgets, closely monitor costs, material take offs
Procurement of packages and subcontractors.
Ordering materials based on site orders
Processing payments
Measurement and Valuations
Closing down final accounts
Experience and attributes needed to apply for the Quantity Surveyor role:
A proven background working as quantity surveyor
Experience ideally in both housing development and contracting
Strong commercial awareness
Highly organised
Eye for detail
Excellent IT and reporting skills
Able to work independently and well with other departments
HNC, Degree or equivalent in quantity surveyor or construction related subject
