Quantity Surveyor - Housebuilder Role: Quantity Surveyor Location: Nottinghamshire Company: UK Leading Housebuilder Salary & Package : £50,000 - £60,000 package (will pay more for exceptional candidates) Quantity Surveyor Opportunity My client is a UK Leading Housebuilder building quality homes nationwide. Due to a significant increase in key projects, the company is now looking for an experienced driven Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Team to support a variety of residential developments. Reporting to the Senior QS/Commercial manager, you'll be instrumental in managing costs and securing the financial success of projects across the North Midlands. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for: Preparing and managing detailed cost plans, budgets, and forecasts for residential projects Conducting regular valuations and cost reporting to track financial progress. Managing procurement processes and negotiating subcontractor and supplier contracts Identifying and mitigating financial risks throughout the project lifecycle Collaborating closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to control costs. Ensuring compliance with contractual and company policies, and maintaining accurate cost reporting and documentation Quantity Surveyor Requirements: HND or higher qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction or equivalent Must have residential /housebuilder experience Strong commercial awareness and a good understand of budget management. Excellent communication and networking skills Good IT skills and proficient with COINs and other relevant software Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to reconcile any potential cost disputes. Able to work independently and part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively What is on Offer?
