At Diamond we are currently undertaking a major upgrade of the facility, known as Diamond-II. Diamond-II will combine a new machine and new beamlines with a comprehensive series of upgrades to optics, detectors, sample environments, sample delivery capabilities and computing, which will ultimately generate an even more brilliant light source at a higher energy. About the Role We now have an opportunity for a Quality Manager to be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of a quality management system, aligned with recognised standards, across Diamonds core business and in delivery of major projects, such as Diamond II Main responsibilities include: Developing, implementing, managing, and maintaining quality systems, procedures, standards, and specifications ensuring contents are appropriate for delivery of Diamonds business objectives. Providing advice on Quality management and standards across Diamond. Defining, Implementing, managing and maintaining internal systems for auditing and corrective action, including ensuring appropriate levels of reporting. Conducting audits and train a team of internal auditors to assist in conducting quality audits. Providing training to the wider organisation to promote a positive culture and understanding of quality procedures in line with business processes. As standard this role offers a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of 3 days working onsite per week About You You will hold a CQI Practitioner (or equivalent) certification, as well as a Science/Technology/Engineering qualification. You will have experience in the following areas: Developing and implementing Quality Management Systems. Applying IT solutions to Quality management. Significant relevant post qualification Quality experience and knowledge As well as the ability to: Interpret and implement Quality-related legislation, standards, and requirements. Develop and implement novel Quality management solutions in a technical environment. Develop and deliver presentations and training. Influence at management level. Lead and manage Quality initiatives and projects. Represent the organisation on Quality matters. Development strategic Quality objectives and policies.
