This gives you direct ownership of product quality and the opportunity to build strong expertise in inspection techniques within a defence manufacturing environment. ​ ​You’ll work with measurement tools, gauges and inspection equipment to assess product conformity, helping you develop practical, hands-on quality inspection skills while working to engineering drawings and technical documentation. You’ll also input and manage traceability data, giving you exposure to quality systems and data-driven decision-making. ​ ​Working closely with manufacturing teams, you’ll report on quality performance, identify issues and support investigations such as non-conformances and root cause analysis. This allows you to build experience in problem-solving methodologies like 5WHY and 8D, while contributing to continuous improvement across the business. ​ Our team embraces modern technologies, including AI-assisted tools, to work smarter and deliver better results. Candidates should either have experience using AI tools or demonstrate a willingness to learn and apply them in their role. ​​ What we’re looking for ​ We’re looking for someone who brings a strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset and the ability to work confidently within a manufacturing environment. You’ll ideally have: * Working knowledge of inspection techniques within a manufacturing or engineering environment * ​Experience using measurement tools, gauges or inspection equipment * ​Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately * ​Experience working to defined standards, specifications or procedures * ​Good IT skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook * ​Ability to input, manage and validate data accurately * ​Understanding of Health & Safety and environmental requirements ​ ​Bonus points if you have: * ​Experience working within a quality or inspection role in defence, automotive or manufacturing sectors * ​Exposure to non-conformance management or root cause analysis (e.g. 5WHY, 8D) ​ What do we do at NP Aerospace?
