Im currently working with a well-established manufacturing company in Portsmouth, providing advanced electronic solutions for regulated industries.
Quality Engineer
The Quality Engineer ensures products and processes meet customer, regulatory, and industry requirements while supporting ongoing improvement of manufacturing and test operations. They maintain and improve the quality management system, contribute to problem-solving activities, and help drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives to enhance efficiency and yield.
KeyResponsibilities
Ensure customer and internal requirements flow into production and test processes.
Support quality system updates, documentation, and audits.
Lead root-cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Reduce quality issues and manage non-conformances and customer reports.
Work with engineering and operations teams to improve processes and drive LSS initiatives.
Provide training, support, and coaching on quality tools and procedures.
Prepare required quality documentation (e.g., FAI reports, customer data packs).
Promote quality awareness and contribute to ongoing continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., aerospace, defence, electronics).
Knowledge of AS9100 or similar quality standards.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Lean Six Sigma experience (Green Belt preferred).
Minimum 5 years in manufacturing or process quality roles.
