Are you an Automotive Engineer with a background in Automotive Vehicle Quality, looking to join a leading Research and Development Team, for a major automotive manufacturer?
If so, Expleo have an opportunity for you! One of the world's largest Automotive OEM's is currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Engineer, based in Bedfordshire, you will be working with a dedicated and enthusiastic team of Development Engineers on a contract basis.
You will be supporting accessory and service part quality assurance activities.
Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Engineer include:
* Product issue monitoring & countermeasures development / proposals
* Maintain and support New Product Quality Process (NPQP) compliance with suppliers
* Ensure Accessories & Parts development is conducted in accordance with quality standards
* Evaluate suppliers and perform quality audits at suppliers based on After Sales product plan
* Ensure supplier management and part quality level via PPAP validation and PSW (Parts submission Warrant) Sign-off
* Tracking of monthly issues / countermeasures reports
* Monitoring and reporting on field performance of accessory parts
* Audit internal and external (supplier) process and controls
Background and Experience required for the Quality Assurance Engineer role:
* Ideally degree / HND educated within a relevant subject matter
* Experience within an automotive OEM and/or Tier 1 supplier, ideally in Accessories & Parts
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work cross functionally
* Experience working with NPQP or Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) frameworks
A valid driving licence is essential and willing to undertake occasional business travel to manufacturing plant and suppliers.
