This role involves ensuring statutory compliance across various areas, particularly focusing on gas systems and equipment. The officer will manage data, contracts, contractors, compliance, and management systems related to Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance (M&E) and building compliance.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nEnsure the Council meets its statutory duties in accordance with the compliance framework.\nManage data, contracts, contractors, compliance, and management systems for M&E and building compliance.\nSpecialize in gas systems and equipment, holding qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 C&G or equivalent in Plumbing and Heating or have a good knowledge of gas safety systems and certification and have completed gas awareness safety courses or similar.\nSupport the Quality & Compliance Manager in ensuring compliance with regulations.\nWork with suppliers to ensure delivery of services required for building compliance.\nAct as part of a dedicated health and safety building compliance function.\nEngage with stakeholders to understand business needs and provide support.\nContribute to periodic reviews or audits to ensure compliance procedures are followed.\nProvide information and content for management reports regarding compliance operations.\nEnsure record management is complete, including pre and post inspections and audit activities.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POST\n\nHold a recognized professional qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 C&G or equivalent in Plumbing and Heating)\nOr have experience of managing gas certificates, understanding the processes of a pass/fail certificate and the ability to challenge theseABOUT YOU\n\nKnowledge of the regulatory and policy framework relating to compliance.\nExperience operating in a compliance environment.* Evidence of continuing professional development in building compliance\n\nAdecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
