Overview: We are working with a Merseyside local authority to recruit an experienced Social Worker to join their Child Protection team. The successful candidate will carry a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans, Child in Need Plans, and undertake court work where required.

Key Responsibilities: Manage a varied caseload of CP and CIN cases

Complete assessments under S17 and S47

Attend and contribute to strategy meetings, core groups, case conferences, and court proceedings

Work closely with children, families, and multi-agency professionals to safeguard and promote child welfare

Maintain up-to-date and accurate case recordings in line with statutory timescales

Requirements: Social Work England registration

Minimum 3 years' post-qualifying experience in Child Protection

Strong knowledge of legislation, safeguarding procedures, and local authority frameworks

Enhanced DBS on the update service

Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
