Proven experience using Django, Flask, or FastAPI

Strong knowledge of REST and/or GraphQL API design

Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

Strong understanding of secure coding principles

Experience working with CI/CD pipelines

Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or Bicep)

Strong experience deploying APIs to Azure App Service

Experience with Azure Entra ID , managed identities, and Back End authentication

Experience using Azure Key Vault

Experience with Azure SQL or PostgreSQL

Experience instrumenting applications with Application Insights

Strong unit and integration testing experience

Experience working with open-source software

Desirable Skills & Experience Experience with Docker and container platforms

Experience with Azure Functions, Container Apps, or AKS

Experience with Azure Service Bus

Experience configuring Azure RBAC

Experience with performance and load testing

Experience with Log Analytics and KQL

Experience configuring alerts and metrics

Awareness of GDS Service Standard
