Prototype Wire Technician

to join a growing engineering team working on cutting-edge, bespoke technology. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the full product development lifecycle, building and supporting high-quality prototype systems in a fast-paced R&D environment. Responsibilities: Carrying out prototype wiring, including soldering, crimping, and cable assembly Building electrical and electromechanical assemblies from technical drawings and schematics Interpreting wiring diagrams, BOMs, and engineering instructions Supporting prototype builds, modifications, and design changes Conducting basic inspection and testing Ensuring all work meets quality standards (IPC-A-610 / IPC-A-620) Working closely with engineering and production teams to resolve build issues Due to the nature of the role, only candidates born in the UK will be considered. Required Skills: Eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC) Proven experience in wiring, cable assembly, or electromechanical assembly Strong skills in soldering and crimping Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Due to the nature of the role, only candidates born in the UK will be considered.
