Job Title:\nProjects Manager\nDepartment:\nConstruction / Build\nReports To:\nConstruction Manager\nJob Purpose\nTo efficiently organise and manage projects from the completion of the design stage through to the completion of build works on site, with a focus on underpinning or piling works where required.\nMain Duties and Responsibilities\nManage projects to completion, ensuring works meet design, budget, and schedule requirements. Key responsibilities include:\n * \n Accept instruction and detailed handover of works to commence build activities.\n * \n Undertake and properly document site visits to assess all aspects of a project.\n * \n Interpret technical designs and drawings from internal or external sources to deliver works as per brief.\n * \n Devise construction programmes compatible with deadlines, budgets, and profit margins.\n * \n Liaise with all stakeholders, including building control, sub-contractors, clients, suppliers, and on-site teams to ensure effective communication.\n * \n Provide clear instruction and direction to all project parties, ensuring professional standards are met.\n * \n Ensure works are completed in line with design and brief specifications.\n * \n Communicate variations to works, programmes, and costs efficiently to relevant parties.\n * \n Agree and document variations to original design, brief, or costings, tracking them and obtaining timely approvals.\n * \n Prepare and issue all necessary documentation for project completion, including risk assessments and method statements, using approved templates.\n * \n Manage sub-contractors to ensure works are completed to professional standards.\n * \n Procure plant, materials, and tools required for projects within set timescales.\n * \n Continuously supervise and manage projects from start to finish.\n * \n Ensure all procurement is tracked and relevant personnel are informed.\n * \n Maintain safe working methods at all times.\n * \n Update and maintain project databases with progress efficiently and accurately.\n * \n Prepare and submit invoices in a timely manner following the correct process.\n * \n Monitor and report on project finances, ensuring targets and profit margins are met.\nEssential Experience and Skills\n * \n Significant experience in underpinning or piling works is essential.\n * \n Proven project management experience on construction sites from design through to completion.\n * \n Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.\n * \n Experience managing sub-contractors and suppliers.\n * \n Competence in preparing risk assessments, method statements, and project documentation.\n * \n Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.\n * \n Ability to monitor budgets and report on project finances
