About the role: At the heart of Camden’s response to street homelessness, the Rough Sleepers Hub Assessment Centre at 165 Kings Cross Road plays a vital role in offering people a safe place to begin their journey away from the streets. With 16 beds and a focus on short-term stays, the service aims to support individuals into secure and suitable housing within just 28 days. This is not simply a place to stay; it’s a place where change begins, you will be instrumental in making that change possible. Working within a psychologically informed and trauma-aware environment, you’ll support people facing some of the most entrenched challenges in society. You’ll take the lead on a caseload, carrying out in-depth assessments and building support plans shaped around each individual’s unique circumstances. This includes creating tailored interventions that address a range of support needs your clients may face; from and physical health difficulties, to substance use, trauma and experiences with the criminal justice system.
