Our client, a leading infrastructure organisation is seeking a Project Trainer to join its Power Transmission and Distribution team, supporting projects across Scotland.

The Project Trainer will work closely with subject matter experts and the wider training team to deliver structured training programmes to Site Engineers nationwide. The role involves assessing project-based trainees to ensure compliance with current legislation and company standards.Youll be part of a team delivering some of the UKs most ambitious and impactful infrastructure projects, helping to build, maintain, and enhance the systems that power economies and support communities.
This position can be based anywhere in Scotland and requires regular travel to operational sites. A company vehicle will be provided, along with coverage for any overnight expenses. When not travelling, the role can be carried out remotely.
What youll be doing
- Assess all Project staff trainees to ensure they are compliant with current legislation and company standards - Work in conjunction with the Training team to continually evaluate the effectiveness of the training solution(s) in relation to business needs and realign where appropriate or to develop new training materials - Develop training material and activities Assess/manage and deliver project job role training and support - Train & deliver various training packages (setting to work/managing subcontractors, project fundamentals, etc.) - Produce training programmes for project job role activity - Deliver various Training and assess end point assessment events - Travel throughout the UK assessing and delivering project role Training - Ensure that you develop your capabilities through continuing professional development
Who were looking for
Essential:
- Experience within the construction, power, or utilities sector at supervisor or engineer level - Ability to lead and manage teams (Person in Charge experience) - Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Desirable:
- Previous experience in training, coaching, or knowledge sharing - Relevant training and assessment qualifications (e.g. CIPD, CPD or equivalent) - Management or supervisory qualifications
