Our client is a leading multidisciplinary Contractor with an annual turnover exceeding £450 million. Due to ongoing success and ambitious growth plans, they are expanding their newly established Fire Protection and External Refurbishment Division, which currently turns over £25 million and aims to double in size to become a market leader in the sector.
About the Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a high-performing team within a rapidly growing division. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting commercial activities to maximise profitability and minimise risk and cost across multiple high-value projects.
You will take ownership of the financial and contractual management of works packages and be a critical contributor to the division's success and growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate cost planning and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
*
Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
*
Monitor and control project costs to ensure profitability and value engineering.
*
Carry out valuations, manage variations, and produce interim and final accounts.
*
Analyse commercial risks and implement measures to reduce exposure.
*
Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain strong working relationships.
*
Prepare regular reports on financial performance and project progress.
*
Ensure compliance with commercial and contractual obligations.

Project scopes typically include:

Fire Door & Installation Systems
*
Cladding Remediation
*
Fire Sealing & Movement Joint Systems

External Wall Insulation

Comprehensive Passive Fire Protection Systems
Project values range up to £10 million.
Candidate Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, refurbishment, or fire protection sectors.
*
Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
*
Commercially astute with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
*
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
*
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
*
Relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
