Role: Project Planner Location: Staffordshire Job Type: Full Time, Perm, Hybrid Salary: Competitive Bonus Benefits Our client is seeking an experienced Project Planner to manage and maintain integrated schedules for large, multi-disciplinary defence engineering programmes. This Project Planner role ensures projects stay on track, risks are managed, and dependencies are aligned across teams. Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain comprehensive project schedules using MS Project. Monitor critical paths and perform scenario planning for resource, phasing, and dependency decisions. Collaborate with project teams and Agile/Scrum leads to align work packages, sprints, and milestones. Incorporate risks, mitigation plans, and emerging work into schedules. Provide clear reporting on schedule performance, trends, and forecasted outcomes. Support schedule governance, baseline control, and standards across the programme. Liaise with stakeholders and external planners to ensure alignment of schedule data and reporting. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience in scheduling multi-year, engineering-focused programmes (defence, aerospace, or high-tech manufacturing). Project Planning experience. Expertise in MS Project, critical path analysis, and risk-aware scheduling. Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills. Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and integration with schedules. Desirable: Familiarity with Agile/Waterfall frameworks, Jira, resource modelling, and EVM Benefits Influence high-impact, strategic programmes. Flexible hybrid working. Professional development within a high-performing team. Security: Candidates must be eligible to obtain SC clearance. British citizenship is required.
