The Role
Reporting into the Programme Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for leading the projects throughout the development lifecycle, from bid stage to completion.
This role requires someone who has a good understanding of engineering organisations as well as project management acumen, to ensure maximum revenue, cash and margins.
This is a fast paced and varied role and is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager who is looking to get stuck in and make a real impact to the project deliverables and wider businesses success! This role can be based at our Colchester or Theale site (occasional travel be may required to the other site) on a hybrid basis working 37.5 hours per week.
What will I be delivering?
Key duties may include, but not limited to:
- Project management for the development of Single Board Computers, Embedded Software and Systems from bids through to final product review, including initial customer deliveries.
- Successfully manage project implementation, project portfolio management, workload management, MS Project Schedules, project time recording, cost and project structures.
- Monitoring overall progress and initiating corrective action where necessary, including the development of contingency plans.
- Coordinate and manage product baseline evolution and embodiment from design through to assembly.
- Ensure each project is compliant with requirements and quality standards.

What do I need to bring with me?
Demonstrated knowledge and experience
- Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects from conception to delivery, ensuring maximum revenue.
- Strong knowledge or project management methodologies and software.
- Good understanding of project management in relation to engineering, specifically in electronics/software/systems.
- Demonstrated experience in cost and risk management.
Technical skills and qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
- BEng/MEng/MSc in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or similar/equivalent discipline.
Behavioural competencies

- Attention to detail and the ability to think critically.
- Strong delegation with the ability to effectively coordinate teams across departments.
