Contract Project Manager – Engineering Programmes - £450–£550/day | Inside IR35
Salisbury-based | Hybrid | Initial 6 months

We’re supporting a UK engineering-led organisation delivering complex, regulated programmes across advanced technology projects. They’re looking for an experienced Contract Project Manager to take immediate ownership of end-to-end delivery across critical engineering programmes.

This role suits a hands-on delivery PM who can hit the ground running in structured, engineering-heavy environments.

Leading end-to-end delivery of complex engineering projects
Managing scope, schedule, cost, risk, and change
Coordinating engineers, procurement, manufacturing, and suppliers
Managing outsourced engineering supply chains (people & materials)
Acting as the key interface between customers and internal teams
Producing and maintaining robust project plans and delivery documentationWhat we’re looking for (non-negotiable)

5+ years’ end-to-end project management experience on engineering programmes
PRINCE2 certified, with experience working in Agile or hybrid environments
Strong background managing engineering supply chains
Proven ability to control delivery across scope, quality, schedule, and cost
Confident stakeholder manager — engineers, procurement, global suppliers, senior leadershipTools & environment

Microsoft Project
Microsoft OfficeNice to have

Aerospace, defence, or security programme experience
Government-funded or grant-based projects
Flight trials exposure (UK or international)Eligibility

UK right to work & eligible for Security Clearance
Willingness to travel occasionally
Full UK driving licence
