We are seeking an experienced, hands-on
Project Manager
to deliver a time-critical relocation and refurbishment project over a three-month period. The successful candidate will take full ownership of planning, coordinating, and delivering all phases of the project, working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers. This is a practical role requiring strong organisation, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently. Project Scope
The project consists of four key phases: Decommissioning
the current site in
Folkestone
Refurbishment
of the “new” unit in
Ashford
Installation and recommissioning
of all machinery at the Ashford site
Dilapidation works
at the Folkestone site, completed to an agreed standard
Each phase includes numerous sub-tasks such as obtaining and evaluating quotes, contractor negotiations, scheduling works, managing budgets, and ensuring deadlines are met. Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage an end-to-end project plan covering all four phases
Source, appoint, and manage contractors and suppliers
Obtain, review, and negotiate quotes and contracts
Coordinate site works, machinery moves, installations, and recommissioning
Agree and manage realistic timescales across all workstreams
Ensure all works meet agreed specifications, quality standards, and compliance requirements
Manage risks, issues, and dependencies proactively
Oversee dilapidation works and sign-off against agreed standards
Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders and senior management
Ensure project delivery within agreed budget and timeframe
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience managing complex, multi-site projects
Strong background in refurbishment, relocation, or industrial / manufacturing environments
Experience coordinating contractors and technical specialists
Excellent organisational, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Practical, solutions-focused approach with attention to detail
Comfortable working on-site as required
Desirable
Experience with machinery relocation and recommissioning
Knowledge of dilapidations and landlord handback requirements
Health & Safety awareness (e.g. SMSTS, IOSH – beneficial but not essential)
