Job Description

My client, a main housing developer is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a brand-new flagship scheme nr Hoddesdon. The ideal candidate will have worked as either a Project Manager or Senior Site Manager on traditional build housing schemes/high volume and has experience of starting projects & taking units from foundation to handovers, with strong knowledge of traditional build.

The scheme consists of 900 units, split across multiple phases of all traditional build homes, including private build and HA

Duties,

  • Project Manager, reporting to the Contract Manager
  • Full site set up and programming
  • Leading and managing site managers and assistant site managers
  • Chair sub-subcontractor meetings
  • Ensuring the development is completed in accordance with specification and the build program
  • RAMS
  • Full understanding of H&S and ensuring its adhered to
  • Snagging of sub-contractor work
  • Calls off/Materials
  • Providing accurate and regular reports on progress and dates
  • NHBC stage inspections
  • Controlling additional costs for non-productive costs and prelim expenditure
  • Driving through quality at every stage of the construction process
  • Ensuring the development pass internal and external inspection processes
  • Taking responsibility for self-development and the development of others
  • Monitoring and controlling the quality of production and approve stage completions to payments to subcontractors
  • Completions, CMLS, Handovers

Qualifications,

  • Project Manager/Senior Site Manager experience
  • Proven experience of being a No1 ideally responsible for multiple phases
  • Experience of running large high-volume projects ideally worked for a PLC
  • Excellent sub-contractor experience
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Able to train and manage any staff who report into you
  • New build, residential experience
  • CSCS Black, SMSTS, First Aid, Scaffold awareness
