New Today

Project Manager (ERP/ESR/HR Modules)

Role: Permanent
Salary: up to £60,000
Location: London (Hybrid – occasional onsite presence in Waterloo/Victoria)

About the role

Exalto Consulting is supporting a large, complex organisation undergoing a significant period of operational change. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery across HR and ERP-related workstreams, with a particular focus on Day-1 readiness.

This role will suit someone who is comfortable working in structured, highly accountable environments where continuity of critical services and people processes matters.

The role

You will take ownership of planning and coordinating the readiness of HR systems and processes, ensuring that key services are stable, aligned and ready to operate from Day-1.

Working across HR, Payroll, IT and programme teams, you will act as a central point of coordination - bringing clarity to plans, managing dependencies and keeping delivery on track in a fast-moving environment.

This is a role focused on outcomes: ensuring that essential services are ready, risks are understood, and teams are aligned at the point they need to be.

What you'll be responsible for
Leading the development and delivery of a Day-1 readiness plan across HR/ERP systems, including data, configuration, testing and cutover activities
Coordinating across multiple teams to ensure milestones, dependencies and critical activities are understood and delivered on time
Acting as a central escalation point to resolve issues and remove delivery blockers
Maintaining clear oversight of risks, assumptions and dependencies, ensuring they are actively managed and communicated
Providing structured, reliable reporting to support decision-making and programme governance
What you'll deliver
A clear, fully baselined readiness plan aligned to programme timelines and governance
Visibility of progress across all key activities, with risks and dependencies actively managed
Coordinated delivery across HR, Payroll and IT teams, ensuring alignment at critical points
Confidence that systems and processes are ready to support a stable Day-1 position
What we're looking for
Proven experience delivering projects in complex, multi-stakeholder environments where priorities compete and timelines are fixed
Strong planning and delivery management skills, with the ability to bring structure and clarity to evolving situations
Experience managing risks, dependencies and governance in a controlled, outcome-focused way
Confident stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
A calm, pragmatic approach to delivery, with a focus on what matters most to achieve readiness
Desirable:
Exposure to ERP or HR systems (such as ESR or similar platforms)
Experience working in regulated or service-critical environments
Why this role matters

This work sits at the heart of ensuring people-related services continue to operate effectively through a period of change. Success in this role means teams are paid correctly, systems function as expected, and disruption is minimised.

It's an opportunity to contribute to something that has a direct and meaningful impact on both staff and service continuity.
