Project Manager - Civil Engineering / Groundworks

An experienced Project Manager is required to oversee civil engineering and groundworks projects across Surrey and West Sussex.

This role will involve managing residential infrastructure and groundwork packages from pre-start through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage civil engineering and groundworks projects from mobilisation through to completion

  • Lead and coordinate site teams including Site Managers, Engineers and subcontractors

  • Ensure works are delivered safely and in line with company procedures

  • Monitor programme, resources and project progress

  • Work closely with commercial teams to manage costs and forecasting

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners

  • Ensure high standards of quality, safety and environmental compliance


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering or groundworks

  • Strong background in residential infrastructure / developer groundwork packages

  • Experience delivering works such as:

    • Roads and sewers

    • Drainage and infrastructure

    • Foundations and external works

  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills

  • Strong commercial awareness

  • Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid preferred


Contract Details

  • Day Rate: Up to £450 per day

  • Engagement: Limited Company

  • Location: Projects across Surrey and West Sussex

  • Start: Immediate / ASAP

  • Duration: Long-term opportunity
