Job Description

Project Engineer / Estimator\n\nSalary: £60,000–£70,000\nLocation: Oxford (Office Based)\nType: Full-Time, Permanent\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Estimator to prepare competitive tenders, manage projects, and support delivery across refurbishments, new builds, and small works. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and experience within an electrical contracting environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPrepare tenders and quotations up to £1m+.\n\nInterpret drawings, perform take-offs, and manage procurement.\n\nLead projects from tender to final account, ensuring quality and compliance.\n\nLiaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers.\n\nAttend design/progress meetings; issue RFIs, RAMS, and documentation.\n\nManage multiple concurrent projects and maintain strong client relationships.\n\nUse Microsoft Office and project management software effectively.\n\nRequirements\n\nTime -served electrician with solid technical understanding.\nProven estimating and project management experience.\nCommercially aware, experienced with various contract forms.\nStrong communication, organisation, and leadership skills.\nUK Driver’s Licence required.\nNICEIC QS or C&G 2391 (advantageous)
