Job Description
Climate17 are working with a NERS accredited EPC and ICP contractor who carry out EPC work for Battery sites and install new grid supplies for solar and battery import/export connections and private connections.
They are looking for a looking for an electrical HV engineer with a good eye for design management, installation practices for HV projects, surveys and tender specification experience.
Responsibilities
To report to the Project or Contracts Manager on all day to day matters associated with the allocated Project.
Assistance of named contracts and ensure delivery is in accordance with the contract conditions, customers’ requirements and Company Directors.
Assist with projects to ensure they are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.
Ensure high standards of quality & workmanship at all times to meet the requirements expected by the Company Directors and our customers.
Collaborate with project teams, designers etc. to determine the specifications of the projects and produce adequate designs where required.
Evaluate and plan required resources (manpower, equipment & materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
Assistance in evaluating progress and preparing detailed reports.
Work in accordance with the company's IMS procedures and ensure compliance with external accreditations.
Assistance with tendering and takeoffs along with checking specifications of materials and methods of completing work packages.
Plan, implement and control activities ensuring compliance with the Companies Polices, Operating Procedures and Work Instructions where required.
In conjunction with the Site Manager/Supervisor, ensure the correct tools, plant, equipment and materials are available for work to proceed.
Ensure correct methods are being adhered to and implemented to improve safety and eliminate hazards, any efficiencies or improved methods of work.
Requirements
Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS).
Craft experience and qualifications according to trade.
Understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental requirements and legislation.
Able to review safe systems of work including method statements and risk assessments and
COSHH risk assessments.
