Project Coordinator (Growing Communities)\n\nBelfast (4-10 Linenhall Street, BT2 8BP)\n\nTemporary Contract (12 weeks +)\n Full-time - 37 hours per week\n Pay: £18.85 per hour\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are recruiting a Project Coordinator (Growing Communities) to support environmental and community-focused projects within Belfast City Council.\n\nYou will help deliver and coordinate projects that improve local green spaces, encourage community participation, and support sustainable growing initiatives across the city.\n\nThis is a hands-on role working with , community groups, council teams, and partners.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDeliver and coordinate community growing and parks projects\nWork with community groups, volunteers, and stakeholders\nPlan and support events, workshops, and activities\nManage project plans, reporting, and timelines\nSupport budgets, monitoring, and administration\nWork with parks teams on operational delivery\nSupport staff and volunteers where required\nEnsure health & safety and risk compliance\nHandle issues such as antisocial behaviour or site concerns\nPromote , engagement, and community involvement\n\nAbout You\n\nYou will have experience in project delivery and community engagement, ideally within environmental or horticultural settings.\n\nYou are organised, confident working with people, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a busy environment.\n\nYou'll also have a practical, hands-on approach and understand health & safety and risk management.\n\nEssential Requirements\n\n1+ year's experience in project/service delivery and community engagement\nEligible to work in the UK\nAble to provide evidence of relevant experience\n\nDesirable\n\nQualification in horticulture, environmental studies, or related field\nExperience in parks, grounds maintenance, or environmental projects\nPublic sector or local authority experience
