Responsibilities
Undertake “rolling wave” planning & resource loading for assigned project & work scopes
Utilise team inputs to create and track plans and schedules, performing risk exploration
Responsible for detailed schedule exploration of network logic and critical path
Work with cross‑functional program teams to resolve critical path and network conflicts
Perform “what if” scenarios for employee program management teams
Perform schedule variance exploration by comparing baseline to schedule
Perform earned value exploration in support of assigned programs or projects
Ensure management understands network logic, Gantt, milestone lists, and resource information in the schedule
Develop and maintain scheduling procedures for assigned programs
Utilise Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances, facilitating focus and intervention on critical areas
Ensure major projects and program schedules and plans are integrated across organizational functional groups, including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality
Experience
Previous major projects experience and ability to support and guide multiple live projects and contribute to tender programmes
Experience within project controls with a focus on planning, ideally within a consultancy
Experience in Primavera P6, with additional experience in Asta Powerproject and MSP considered beneficial
Strong Excel competence to produce dashboards and supporting data visualisation for P6 programmes
Qualifications
Applicants should ideally hold an HNC, HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction Law or a similar/relevant discipline; an alternative background such as Engineering may also be considered
Professional qualifications and/or membership of the APM, RICS, CIOB, CICES, CIPS or other relevant Chartered Institute are desirable and supported if not yet attained
