Project Controls Engineer
London | Hybrid
£40,000–£55,000 + benefits

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Controls Engineer looking to grow their career within a client-side environment delivering large, complex infrastructure programmes across the UK. You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting projects in sectors such as transport, energy, utilities, and defence, working at the heart of delivery teams where your input genuinely matters.
This role suits someone with early project controls experience who wants broad exposure across planning, cost, risk, and performance, while learning from experienced professionals and accelerating their development.
What you’ll be involved in:
• Creating and updating project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project
• Supporting cost management, forecasting, and earned value analysis
• Monitoring programme performance and producing clear, insightful reports
• Assisting with risk, change, and governance processes
• Working closely with planners, cost engineers, and project managers
• Gaining well-rounded experience across the full project controls function
What we’re looking for:
• Degree in engineering, construction, project management, or similar
• Around 2+ years’ experience in project controls, planning, or project support
• Exposure to NEC contracts and controlled project environments
• Experience with P6, MS Project, and strong Excel capability
• Analytical, detail-focused, and confident working with data
• A proactive mindset and genuine interest in major infrastructure delivery
