Production & Quality Manager in KY1, Thornton, Fife

Escape Recruitment is working with a growing business in fife to recruit a Production & Quality Manager. This is a hands-on role with a strong emphasis on quality ownership, suited to someone who enjoys maintaining standards, improving processes, and being closely involved in day-to-day production activity.
You will be responsible for ensuring quality is embedded into everything the operation does, while also coordinating daily production workflow and priorities. This is a visible role requiring strong leadership, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Own and maintain quality control processes, procedures, and supporting documentation
*
Lead daily production meetings to plan workload, set priorities, and review quality performance
*
Carry out regular quality spot checks on work in progress and completed orders
*
Manage inspection and verification activities, ensuring records are accurate, complete, and timely
*
Investigate quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
*
Promote right-first-time delivery and drive a culture of quality across the team
*
Work closely with internal teams to ensure production plans meet quality and customer requirements
*
Identify and implement quality and efficiency improvements across the operation
*
Monitor trends, highlight risks, and put preventative measures in place
About You
*
Proven experience in a quality-led role with production or operational responsibility
*
Strong understanding of quality control, inspections, and process adherence
*
Confident leading teams and running daily meetings
*
Hands-on, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
*
Practical problem solver with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions
*
Able to communicate clearly and influence quality standards across teams
