Production Planning Supervisor \n\nLocation: Royston ( 1 day p/w working from home)\n\nWorld-changing careers, enabled by Johnson Matthey. As the Site Services Technician, you'll contribute to JM's mission as a world leader in sustainable technology, transforming energy and reducing carbon emissions for a cleaner, brighter future.\n\nThe role:\n\nWe are seeking a Production Planning Supervisor who will be responsible for providing outstanding service and supply chain expertise for the production operations within the PGMS UK business.
You will have 5 direct reports in this role.\n\nThe main focus of the role is to drive an efficient and effective flow of materials through Operation with the aim of hitting monthly targets, controlling PGM inventory and reducing the Precious Metal backlog position. This will be a leading position in the Production planning of chemical products.\n\nAs the Production Planning Supervisor, you will help drive our goals by: \n\nOwn and maintain a rough-cut capacity model in collaboration with planners, with a monthly time frame.\nWork closely with planners, operations, and technical teams from each area to develop detailed capacity modelling. This involves creating daily and weekly capacity models, with a timeline of 1-2 weeks for daily bucket planning and 3-12 weeks for weekly bucket planning.\nCollaborate with the Supply Chain Manager to identify and develop the necessary master data required for Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP)\nFocused on improving the Master Production Schedule (MPS) process to ensure effective production scheduling.\nKey skills that will help you succeed in this role:\n\nPrevious experience driving change through data\nUnderstanding ways of working and how to implement change in other teams and area of the business\nExperience in a Production Control\nStrong leadership skills\nStrong Health and Safety awareness\nExperienced and advanced user of IT systems including MS suite\nEven if you only match some of the skills, we'd love to hear from you to discuss further!\n\nWhat we offer:\n\nWe make sure salaries are fair, competitive and aligned to individual roles, experience and responsibilities.
