Job Description
- Act as the central point of contact for all product-related matters across the business, with a focus on investment strategy, structure, and ongoing development.
- Ensure the product suite aligns with Consumer Duty requirements and all regulatory standards, acting as the key owner of regulatory product governance.
- Liaise directly with internal stakeholders including the CIO, compliance, operations, and the investment team to drive product enhancements and resolve product-related risks.
- Support the CIO in strategic initiatives around product design, pricing, positioning, and suitability.
- Own the end-to-end process of preparing materials and updates for the Risk Committee and Board, including detailed product governance reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and adviser support teams to ensure clarity and consistency in product messaging and documentation.
- Conduct thorough market and competitor analysis to inform product development priorities and regulatory alignment.
- Lead cross-functional projects tied to product evolution, investment performance monitoring, and investor communication.
- Act as a key liaison for external stakeholders including regulators, auditors, and key business partners on product and risk matters.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in a product specialist, product analyst or product manager role within investment management, asset management, or wealth platforms.
- Strong technical understanding of investment products, fund structures, and regulatory frameworks (especially around Consumer Duty and FCA requirements).
- Experience preparing and presenting to senior committees including Risk Committees and Boards.
- Comfortable working in a scale-up or high-growth environment; adaptable and confident working across multiple stakeholders and functions.
- Exceptional analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- A proactive, hands-on attitude with the ability to work independently and with pace.
- Familiarity with model portfolios, or evidence-based investing is advantageous.
