Are you a seasoned Data Product Manager with a passion for data migration and enterprise-scale transformation? One of the UK’s leading retail organisations is seeking a contract Data Product Manager to join a strategic data migration programme, playing a critical role in transitioning legacy systems to a modern, governed data platform.

The Mission:

Own and lead a core backend data platform during a major migration initiative - ensuring that data products are seamlessly and securely moved, governed, and validated throughout the transition.

What You’ll Drive:

• End-to-end ownership of data migration activities across governed datasets.
• Shape and enforce data quality, lineage, and contracts during platform migration.
• Partner with engineers and architects to build scalable, validated pipelines.
• Integrate tooling across Alation, Azure Data Services, Databricks, and Great Expectations.
• Align with Data Governance to support data domain stewards during migration.

You Bring:

• Proven track record delivering data platform and migration initiatives as a Product Manager.
• Strong knowledge of data contracts, quality KPIs, and metadata standards.
• Experience in enterprise-scale data transformations and cross-functional collaboration.
