Procurement Manager\n\nA leading UK construction and engineering business specialising in fast-track project delivery within the healthcare sector. The organisation is recognised for delivering high-quality, innovative solutions using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), working closely with public sector clients on critical infrastructure projects.\n\nRole Overview\n\nThe Procurement Manager will take ownership of procurement and supply chain activities across multiple construction and engineering projects. This role is key to ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and timely sourcing of materials, subcontractors, and services.\n\nYou will work closely with commercial, pre-construction, and project delivery teams to support successful project outcomes, while developing strong supplier relationships and driving best practice procurement processes.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProcurement & Supply Chain\n\n * Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project and business objectives\n\n * Source, assess, and appoint subcontractors and suppliers across construction, MEP, and modular solutions\n\n * Manage tender processes, including issuing enquiries, analysing submissions, and negotiating contracts\n\n * Ensure supply chain capability supports programme delivery and technical requirements\n\nCommercial & Cost Management\n\n * Collaborate with commercial teams to deliver value for money and identify cost-saving opportunities\n\n * Negotiate pricing, terms, and framework agreements\n\n * Monitor market conditions, risks, and material cost fluctuations\n\nSupplier Management\n\n * Build and maintain strong relationships with key supply chain partners\n\n * Manage supplier performance through KPIs and quality standards\n\n * Support the development of long-term, collaborative partnerships\n\nProject Support\n\n * Engage supply chain partners early in the pre-construction phase\n\n * Align procurement schedules with project timelines and milestones\n\n * Support risk identification and mitigation strategies\n\nCompliance & Governance\n\n * Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and contract requirements (e.g.

NEC/JCT)\n\n * Support sustainability and ethical sourcing initiatives\n\n * Maintain accurate records and reporting processes\n\nKey Requirements\n\nExperience\n\n * Proven procurement experience within construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors\n\n * Strong background in subcontract and supplier procurement\n\n * Experience working with NEC, JCT, or similar contract frameworks\n\n * Exposure to healthcare or technically complex projects (desirable)\n\n * Experience with modular construction / MMC (desirable)\n\nSkills\n\n * Strong negotiation and commercial awareness\n\n * Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects\n\n * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills\n\n * Analytical and detail-oriented approach\n\n * Proactive and solutions-driven mindset\n\nQualifications\n\n * Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g. Construction, Supply Chain, Commercial)\n\n * Professional membership (e.g. CIPS) desirable
