Sous Chef, Private Household

Location: London
\nEmployment Type: Full-time, PAYE
\nSalary: c. £50,000–£70,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, full-time
\nApproximate hours:07:00/08:00 am to 18:00/19:00 
\n(Some flexibility required depending on household needs)

Role Overview

\n\n

One of our private clients is seeking an experienced and highly professional Sous Chef to work within an UHNW private household. The successful candidate will support the Head Chef and work closely alongside them in delivering exceptional daily dining experiences for the family, staff and guests.

\n\n

This role is ideal for a chef with a background in private households, superyachts, or Michelin-starred kitchens, who understands discretion, precision, and consistently high standards.

Key Responsibilities

    Support the Head Chef in the preparation, cooking, plating, and service of breakfast, lunch and dinner for the family

    \n\t
  • \n\t
  • \n\t

    Assist with hosting, catering and service for private events, dinners, and family gatherings

    \n\t
  • \n\t
  • \n\t

    Prepare simple, nutritious meals for household staff 

    \n\t
  • \n\t
  • \n\t

    Maintain exceptional kitchen cleanliness and organisation at all times

    \n\t
  • \n\t
  • \n\t

    Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene standards

    \n\t
  • \n\t
  • \n\t

    Assist with menu preparation, mise en place, and service logistics

    \n\t
  • \n\t
  • \n\t

    Travel occasionally with the family when required

    \n\t

Candidate requirements

\n\n
    \n\t
  • \n\t

    Proven experience working in UHNW private households, superyachts, and/or Michelin-star restaurants

    \n\t
  • \n\t
  • \n\t

    Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and kitchen organisation

    \n\t
  • \n\t
  • \n\t

    Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively

    \n\t
  • \n\t
  • \n\t

    Flexible, adaptable, reliable, and discreet

    \n\t
  • \n\t
  • \n\t

    Comfortable working long days in a fast-paced private environment

    \n\t

  • \n\t

    Willingness to travel occasionally with the family
