A well-regarded and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join its supportive and forward-thinking team in Sherborne. You’ll be joining an established and inclusive team made up of professionals at all levels, including apprentices, trainees, and senior lawyers with decades of experience. Legal secretaries and paralegals are considered integral team members, and a strong emphasis is placed on collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and delivering outstanding client service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of private client matters, with a focus on wills, probate, and estate planning
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through a trusted, client-focused approach
  • Support business development initiatives and contribute to departmental strategy
  • Work closely with colleagues across departments to share knowledge and best practices
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members while working independently with confidence


Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in private client law
  • Strong technical expertise across a range of private client matters
  • Proactive and commercially aware with a strong client service ethic
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking abilities
  • A team player with a passion for mentoring and professional collaboration
