This is an excellent opportunity where you will hold the Lead Design Engineer position on one or more Projects in our Energy Sector. Within this sector, Costain delivers projects to industry-leading clients across various phases. Whether it be a concept study, FEED, or ECPcm project, you will work as part of a multi-discipline team to deliver top-quality engineering on time and within budget. Our pipeline offers opportunities to work in diverse areas, from brownfield Oil and Gas assets to cutting-edge Hydrogen production and storage. We also provide opportunities in sectors such as Nuclear, Defence, and Transport. Provide electrical discipline technical input for projects and proposals, including preparation, checking, and approval of engineering deliverables.
Produce high-quality electrical engineering deliverables on schedule and within budget, ensuring client satisfaction.
Prepare equipment and materials requisitions for HV and LV switchboards, transformers, motors, UPS systems, and other electrical equipment.
Prepare installation scopes of work.
Power system analysis, including fault level calculations and load flows.
HV and LV cable and equipment sizing.
Production of electrical equipment datasheets and specifications.
Support during commissioning.
Degree in relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Electronic, Electrical, Control Engineering); apprenticeships may be considered.
Good knowledge of design working practices and installation requirements across various industries.
Minimum 15 years of engineering experience in Oil & Gas, Nuclear, and/or Water sectors.
