This is a key hire within a forward-thinking organisation known for delivering technically robust and sustainable design solutions across healthcare, education, residential, commercial, industrial and public sector developments.\n\n Operating internationally with a strong UK presence, the business places sustainability and net-zero carbon design at the core of its engineering philosophy.\n\n The Role\n\n As Principal Electrical Engineer, you will take ownership of projects from inception through to completion, acting as Project Leader on selected schemes and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.\n\n You will:\n\nLead electrical design on complex building services projects\nAttend client and principal meetings, delivering presentations where required\nOversee production of drawings, calculations and specifications\nPromote technical excellence within the team\nSupport business development through strong client engagement\nContribute to technically challenging, sustainability-led schemesThis is a client-facing role offering autonomy, responsibility and genuine progression.\n\n The Person\n\n We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with:\n\nDegree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (Chartered or working towards )\nMinimum 3–4 years’ post-qualification design experience within Building Services\nStrong knowledge of British & European Standards and Building Regulations\nExperience with Relux/Dialux, Amtech, Revit and Microsoft suite\nUnderstanding of HV/LV systems and embedded \nKnowledge of renewable technologies and BREEAM principles\nProfessional membership with Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers or Institution of Engineering and Technology\nAbility to contribute in multidisciplinary meetings with mechanical awareness\nHTM knowledge would be advantageous.Why Apply?\n\nTechnically diverse project portfolio\nClear pathway to senior leadership\nSupportive, collaborative team culture\nStrong emphasis on sustainability and innovation\nFlexible, agile working model\n Pertemps Engineering Division is a specialist recruiter within the Engineering sector.
