Principal Ecologist

Oxford £40,000-£45,000

I am pleased to announce that we are looking for a Principal Ecologist to join a well-established team in Oxford. The team have been established for 15 years now and are looking to expand further due to an influx in projects. You would be working on a range of projects from renewables, residentials, paragraph 80, conversions and estates. Line-manage, mentor, and support junior ecologists to deliver excellence

Design and implement ecological surveys and mitigation strategies, including Phase 1 / NVC and protected species work

Provide technical review and quality assurance on complex ecological reportsRequirements

Genuine passion for ecology, with demonstrable enthusiasm for environmental work

Survey licence or proven specialism in taxa such as bats, newts, botany, or invertebrates

Chartered (or eligible) membership of CIEEM and valid UK driving licence
