Principal/Senior Civil Design Engineer (Water Industry)Location: Manchester / HybridContract: 12 month contractRate: £400 to £490 per day (outisde IR35)An established engineering and construction contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer to support the delivery of civil design solutions across regulated clean and wastewater projects in the UK.This is a contract opportunity suited to candidates with strong technical capability, leadership experience, and a background in the water sector.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce civil design deliverables that meet safety, quality and regulatory requirementsIdentify efficient design solutions from scopes and site visits, communicating effectively with clients and project teamsDirect, support and develop CAD Technicians, junior designers and graduatesPrepare design risk assessments, reports and technical specificationsEnsure designs comply with relevant technical, professional and water company standardsAttend and present designs at HAZOP, ALM, KM and similar meetingsRequired Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum 10 years' design experience within the regulated water industryExperience carrying out hydraulic calculations and producing hydraulic profilesDegree qualified, HND, or significant experience from Technician levelRegistered with a relevant professional body and working towards ChartershipPreferred Qualifications & ExperienceChartered EngineerExperience across both clean water and wastewater projectsBackground in infrastructure and non-infrastructure designFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicleHow to ApplyIf you are a Senior Civil Design Engineer with water industry experience and are looking for your next contract role, please apply or get in touch for a confidential discussionJBRP1_UKTJ
