About the Role
Smile Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join the Key Stage 1 team at a welcoming and supportive local primary school in Cannock, WS12. You will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons, building strong relationships with pupils, and ensuring that every child is given the opportunity to succeed.

Primary Teacher Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver creative, inspiring lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum, ensuring activities are differentiated to meet the needs of all learners
Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development through nurturing relationships and high expectations
Assess and monitor progress using a variety of formative and summative methods, adapting teaching where necessary
Maintain a safe, stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and a love of learning
Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCO, and other staff to ensure all pupils are supported effectively
Establish positive partnerships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about progress and ways to support learning at home
Contribute to wider school life, attending meetings, training, and events as part of a collaborative teaching team

You’ll need:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Recent experience teaching in KS1 (including delivering phonics, reading, writing, and maths)
Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and early learning development
Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills
An enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
