The Role - SEN Teacher (SEMH/ADHD Specialist)

As an SEN Teacher with Academics, you will:

Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH needs and ADHD Implement behaviour strategies that promote regulation, engagement, and positive outcomes Create a structured, consistent, and nurturing classroom environment Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and external agencies Support pupils on EHCPs, ensuring targets are met through personalised approaches Build strong, trusting relationships that foster emotional resilience and self-confidence Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and barriersWhat We're Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Proven experience teaching pupils with SEN, particularly SEMH and ADHD Strong behaviour management skills rooted in understanding and consistency A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach Ability to de-escalate challenging situations effectively Excellent communication and teamwork skills An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)Why Join Academics?
