About the Role Destination Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Redbridge. This full-time role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them access learning in a nurturing and structured environment. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and wider support staff to provide tailored support that meets individual pupil needs. The role may involve 1:1 or small group support, assisting pupils with ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, or social, emotional, and mental health challenges. The school has a strong inclusive ethos and values teamwork, patience, and commitment.

Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN. Support the implementation of EHCPs and personalised learning plans. Assist pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development. Encourage positive behaviour and promote inclusion within the classroom. Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs. Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals. The Ideal Candidate Experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school setting. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A genuine passion for inclusive education. Relevant SEN training or qualifications are desirable but not essential.
