Press Operator Location: Worcestershire Pay Rate: £14.00 – £15.00 per hour Job Type: Permanent

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Press Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills further within a stable and growing environment.

The role will suit someone with hands-on experience in press setting and operating, who is confident working to production targets and quality standards.

Working Hours: 39 hours per week Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30 Friday: 07:30 – 12:30

The Role

Set and operate press machinery in line with production requirements

*

Carry out machine set-ups including tooling and work holding

*

Adjust and monitor key machine parameters to ensure efficient operation

*

Work to job instructions and production targets

*

Use hand tools and air tools safely and effectively

*

Complete tasks in line with quality and output expectations

Responsibilities

*

Follow all health and safety procedures at all times

*

Work from job sheets, drawings and production instructions

*

Carry out basic in-process inspection using measuring equipment

*

Identify and report any faults or non-conforming parts

*

Accurately record work completed where required

*

Maintain a clean and organised working area

*

Handle materials and components carefully to avoid damage

*

Support continuous improvement activities where possible

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in a press setting / operating role or similar

*

Background in manufacturing or engineering environments

*

Ability to read and follow technical instructions or drawings

*

Good attention to detail and quality standards

*

Reliable, self-motivated and able to work as part of a team

Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
