Farringdon, London hybrid working availableSouthern Housingis seeking aBuilding SafetyPre-Construction Managerto ensure our buildings are safe, compliant, and futureready.This role is reporting to the Head of Building Safety Delivery andwill lead the planning and commissioning of critical safety inspections and remedial works across our housing portfolio. This position is central to delivering our corporate strategy of making our buildings as safe as practicably possible.In this role you will arrange and manage surveys and assessments for residential blocks, including intrusive surveys, PAS9980 fire risk assessments and access coordination. Youwill maintain clear, accurate data from assessments:managing fee proposals, purchase orders, project documentation and resident communicationsas well ascommission independent fire engineer reviews.Youwill develop project budgets and construction schedules, oversee feasibility site visits and work with design teams to resolve issues. Youwill prepare and distribute all pre-construction documentation(plans, specifications and programmes)while maintaining the golden thread of safety , youwill oversee risk mitigation, ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021 and associated regulations.This role isbased at ourheadoffice inFarringdon, with the option to work in a hybrid manner. Some visits to sites and other offices might be needed based on thelocations part of the programmesscope. What You'll Need:Previous experience as a Project Manager, Project Engineer, or inpre-constructionwithin commercial constructionDegree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent professional experienceMembership of a professional body such as RIBA, CIOB, or RICSStrong knowledge of building safety regulations and environmental standardsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including stakeholder engagementProficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word, for compiling detailed reportsHighly organised, self-motivated, with meticulous attention to detailIn your supporting statement, it is important that you address how you meet the above criteria proving examples.Closing date: 31st March 2026at 23:59pm.
