: Must be located within a reasonable travel distance to the office About Us We are a friendly, well-established accountancy practice with a close-knit team of eight. Our clients are a diverse mix of local and national SMEs, and we pride ourselves on providing a personal, proactive service. We are looking for an experienced accountant who enjoys variety, autonomy and building strong client relationships. The Role Youll be the first point of contact for your own portfolio of SME clients, providing day-to-day support and delivering high-quality accounting services. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a small-practice environment and wants to make a real impact. Key Responsibilities: Managing portfolio of SME clients as their primary contact Preparing year-end accounts, management accounts, VAT returns and self-assessment tax returns Supporting clients with business and tax queries including software guidance Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide guidance Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and deadlines Working with the wider team to support workflow and client service About You AAT Qualified (or QBE with strong practice experience) Minimum 3 years experience in an accountancy practice Confident managing your own client portfolio Strong communication skills with a proactive approach Comfortable working in an office-based role Enjoys working in a small, supportive team Lives within a reasonable travel distance to the office What We Offer Competitive salary of £33,000 - £40,000 (full time equivalent, part-time considered) Additional annual leave days Enrolment into the company pension scheme Financial incentives throughout the year A friendly, collaborative working environment The chance to take real ownership of client relationships Long-term stability and opportunities to grow with the practice Free parking Social events throughout the year
