Are you a Mechanical Engineer looking to take the next step in your career with a growing, close-knit, family-run groundworks contractor? This role offers training with JCBs and HGVs, consistent overtime to boost your earnings, and a structured days-based position that supports a great work life balance.
With 30 years' experience in construction and groundwork, this successful family-run business works closely with local authorities, schools and commercial homes. Due to continued growth and success, they are now looking to expand their engineering team servicing their own HGV, JCB and John Deere machinery.
This role is primarily based at the main yard (80%), where you will be responsible for servicing and repairing a wide range of commercial vehicles and plant/agricultural machinery within the workshop. You will have the autonomy of your own workspace, taking ownership of fault finding, diagnosing issues, and installing mechanical components. There will also be occasional opportunities to attend sites across Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire (20%).
